HISTORY:
While in the Naval Submarine Force, I was always looking for some conversion from this to that, usually resulting in looking through several volumes of technical books before finding what I needed. I made the statement, that when I retire I will create a program that can convert most anything of value. The current version of Unit-Pro is that result, with the culmination of many years of research through volumes of text books, technical documents and various reference material. Unless I had multiple sources that validated each other , that conversion would not be used in Unit-Pro. I was amazed how many errors I found in college technical books.
There are many numeric conversion programs available and many are free. All conversion programs that I have seen are: You enter the conversion and pick the output parameters. Unit-Pro is more than that, I wanted a learning tools besides being highly functional, so I programmed Unit-Pro to display all relative conversions at the same time. As a former member of the U.S. Metric Association, I had very favorable reviews of Unit-Pro.
